由日本TBS電視台及香港數碼娛樂協會聯合舉辦，DigiCon6 Animation & Movie Awards，簡稱「DigiCon6大賞」，是一個大型的數碼內容創作比賽。此獎項的目的是為發掘及支持有潛質的藝術創作人士，不但為創作人士的發展開 拓門戶，並且將他們的作品展現給大眾觀賞。 大賞今年已踏入第十三屆，共有十個亞洲地區參與比賽，包括日本、中國、香港、台灣、泰國、新加坡、韓國、菲律賓、馬來西亞和印度，各國的創作人才共同競逐 地區大獎「DigiCon6金銀銅獎」。香港的作品於過去三年的大賞之中，獲得驕人成績，希望本地的創作人才今年再接再厲，取得佳績！香港的得獎者更有機 會親身參與於日本東京舉行的DigiCon6大賞頒獎典禮。 第十三屆DigiCon6大賞截止報名日期為2011年8月5日 (以郵截為準)。請即報名！ 如有查詢，請與方小姐聯絡(電話：2788-5669 / 電郵：conniefong@hkpc.org)，或按此瀏覽大會網站。

Hong Kong ICT Delegation to Canada

Registration shall be made on or before 8 July 2011 A Hong Kong Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Delegation will be organized to Canada from 7 to 13 August 2011, aiming to foster in-depth technical exchange and explore business collaborations and partnership opportunities with Canadian counterparts at different levels, including government officials, ICT industry leaders and professionals, and also promotes the achievements of Hong Kong’s ICT excellence and creative industry to the international visitors.

The delegation will feature a series of networking and technical exchange activities including ICT seminars, business meetings with Canadian ICT companies in Vancouver of British Columbia and Calgary of Alberta, and visit to Siggraph (Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics) 2011 ( http://www.siggraph.org/s2011), which is the premier international conference and exhibition on computer graphics and interactive techniques attracting estimated 25,000 technical and creative professionals from all over the world.

"Kickstart IPv6!" Seminar on World IPv6 Day (8 June)

Highlight of Kickstart IPv6! Seminar Local and regional well-recognized speakers from the Internet industry will share real IPv6 deployment cases and strategic importance of deploying IPv6 in the seminar on 8 June at Cyberport. Date: 8 June 2011 Time: 2:00pm-5:30pm Venue: Ocean View Court, The Arcade, Cyberport 3, 100 Cyberport Road, Hong Kong (free shuttle bus to and fro Admiralty and Cyberport will be arranged)

Keynote Speaker: Geoff Huston, Chief Scientist, Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) Topic: IPv4 address exhaustion, and why we should be worried? He undertakes research on topics associated with Internet infrastructure, IP technologies, and address distribution policies. Widely regarded as the preeminent researcher on IPv4 exhaustion, he is routinely referenced by international agencies and is frequently quoted by the ICT media. Geoff has also presented at a number of global technical and government forums, including the OECD, ITU, ICANN, APEC, and the IETF. Prior to APNIC, Geoff was employed as the Chief Internet Scientist at Telstra and Technical Manager of the Australian Academic and Research Network (AARNET). You are cordially invited to join the Cyberport Collaboration Centre's first networking event "Cloud Computing Seminar"「滬港雙城共建雲計算平台」研討會 and Networking Dinner in Shanghai on 15 June. The Cyberport Collaboration Centre has been set up to foster collaboration between the Hong Kong ICT industry and its overseas and mainland counterparts in the formation of business alliances and talent exchange, and to develop a reciprocal network to help ICT SMEs explore and capture emerging business opportunities.

The seminar is jointly organized by Cyberport, Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS), The Knowledge and Innovation Community,雲海產業聯盟 and 上海雲計算創業基地. ICT professionals and industry leaders from both Hong Kong and Shanghai have been invited to give speeches to share with the delegates their perspectives and insights on cloud computing.
